Lust Have It December 2012

Its that time again my Lust Have It for December arrived  Monday morning.
Firstly I'm apologizing for the terrible photo but I'm using my phone for a little while as my sister is overseas  & we share a camera & of course she has it with her.

The one thing I prefer about Lust Have It over Bellabox is that it gets to me sooner. I find they a both posted on a Wednesday & the Lust Have It always arrives to me on a Monday where as the Bellabox arrives a whole week after it's been sent on a Wednesday

I'm SUPER pleased with the contents of my box & have absolutely no complaints Lust Have It have done an incredible job in my eyes. Here's what I received :

(1) Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume Sample - This is one of my favourite perfumes & I love these little samples to have in my purse (this is a added sample not listed on the card but listed on the front as a nice extra).
 (2) Catwalk by Tigi Sessions Series Finishing Hairspray 80ml sample - I'm not a big hairspray fan but my sister has been using this and she loves it plus its a really great sample size.
(3) Naked Tan Goddess Shimmer 30ml sample - I dont think I will use this as its not something I'm interested in but my sister said she would gladly take it of my hands.
 (4) Pelactiv Facial Refiner Deep Cleansing Scrub 50ml sample - I LOVELOVELOVE facial scrubs. I've used this once & so far I'm liking it a lot.
(5) 2x Glasshouse Frangrances Hand Creme 5ml sachet samples in Marseille & Kakadu - I'm not a fan of sachet samples but these look nice.
 (6) Benefit They're Real Mascara 3g sample - This mascara is My new addiction I got a sample sized one in my Benefit She's So Jetset Kit & I'm loving it mine has almost run out & I've ordered a full size one off the website but until that reaches me this will definitely come in handy :):)
(7) Lust Have It Exfoliating Glove - This looks good I already have a few exfoliating gloves but none that look like this so I'm very pleased with this.
We also got given a Candy Cane which I ate pretty much straight away it was very yummy :)

What did you get in your Lust Have It Box this month?

REVIEW: Macadamia Natural Oil Haircare Part One

Its been about 2 & a half months since I have updated my hair routine. I used to not really care what types of products I used in my hair as long as it looked shiny even if it didn't feel so healthy. For years I have been colouring my hair from dark to light & back again as well as using many Heat tools (I pretty much used to straighten my hair everyday) . Recently I noticed my hair has been getting pretty bad with breakage, split ends & being extremely dry on the ends & oily at the roots. I would wash my hair every day as I hated the way it felt every morning which probably contributed to even more damage. I had been researching different brands for good quality hair products that could help me with my concerns. I was really interested in Hair Oils and was tossing up between Argan Oil & Macadamia Oil. The main reason I chose Macadamia Natural Oil over Moroccan Argan Oil is because the Macadamia Oil products consist of a mix of both Argan & Macadamia Oil.

Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Spray 125ml $25.03 (beautybay.com)

It all started with this Healing Oil Spray my sister brought home. The hair dresser recommended it to her (I'm not sure how much she paid for it) and she said we could share it as she wasn't liking it to much. I on the other hand fell in love with it.

The bottle says "Macadamia Healing Oil Spray is an ultra fine mist that instantly absorbs into hair, weightlessly infusing moisture, health, softness, protection, control & shine. A lighter solution ideal for fine hair yet excellent for all hair types"

I use this in my hair as a heat protectant when I want to blow dry/straighten my hair (which is about twice a week). You don't need to use much of this product for it to work which is great because this bottle will last you ages. I just spray this once onto my hands and run it through my damp hair & then blow dry it. This always leaves my hair feeling so soft & smooth & gives it a nice natural shine. since I have been using this product I have been getting so many compliments on my hair and how healthy it looks (& feels). This product I find doesn't weigh my hair down & it has a nice smell to it that isn't to ver powering like some oil smells can be.

I have been using this products for about 6 months now and the bottle just never seems to run out which is great because this really is great value for money. I also love the packaging for the Macadamia Natural Oil products they all come in either brown glass bottles or brown plastic containers that have this really cool floral scribble type pattern running through it & the labels are all bright green which just stands out so much against the brown & adds a lovely colour to it.

Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Set from BeautyBay

Using this oil spray had made me interested in trying other products from this range and even other hair oil brands but I wasnt sure I was going to like them all and for the price that they are I didnt really want to regret buying anything so when I saw this travel gift pack on beauty bay I thought this would be a great way to trial these products before deciding whether or not I wanted the full size items

The pack costs $52.46 from BeautyBay.com and contains 100ml of the Rejuvenating Shampoo, 60ml of the Moisturizing Rinse Conditioner, 100ml of the Deep Repair Masque, 30ml of the Healing Oil Treatment, 60ml of the Nourishing Leave-in Cream, an Oil Infused Comb & a Travel Bag to put all the products in.

Rejuvenating Shampoo, Moisturizing Rinse & Oil Infused Comb

This travel kit is a great way of trying all these products if anyone is interested in the range but not sure what products they need/like. The Shampoo lasted me about 5 washes & the conditioner about 3. I don't understand why the Shampoo size was larger than the Conditioner as I find that I use more Conditioner than I use Shampoo. The sizes however were big enough to see how I liked the product. I have purchased the full size (300ml) of these bottles and currently use them in my hair care routine.
Macadamia Natural Oil Conditioner 300ml $21.26 & Shampoo 300ml $17.48

I love that both of these products are Colour Safe, Sulfate Free & Paraben Free. They both smell amazing and very refreshing. The Shampoo has great lather and leaves my scalp feeling clean without feeling like its been stripped.
The Conditioner I find tends to run out much faster than the Shampoo. I have to use a lot more than I normally would & it isnt the most moisturizing Conditioner I've used (and I like my Conditioners to be moisturizing). I really wanted to like this Conditioner but I just don't think it is the best match for my hair.

I will continue to repurchase the Shampoo but I don't I would repurchase the Conditioner.

Tomorrow I will review the Healing Oil, Leave-In Cream & Deep Repair Masque

Have you tried anything from the Macadamia Natural Oil line?
Happy Tuesday Everyone & Dont Forget to Enter My Blog's Giveaway which ends tonight

Tag : Holly Jolly Holiday 2

I saw this tag over on Jaci's Blog & I Thought I would join in as I've always wanted to do one of these Tags.
As Christmas is vastly approaching I am Super busy (working in retail is the worst this time of the year) most days I come home from work to exhausted to even go on the computer let alone blog so I thought this would  be good to do until my next day off then I can start some of the other blog posts I've been wanting to do :)

1. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
As stated up there because I work in retail & usually work A LOT the days leading up to Christmas I like to get a big head start & have all my shopping done by the 1st of December and just leave a few things to get right before Christmas

2. If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?
This is an easy question as growing up Christmas Movies & Cartoons were my favourite thing about the holidays. My sister & I loved the Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen movie "To Grandmother's House We Go" & that definitely would be the one I would be in. (What kid doesn't want to run away & go on an adventure)

3. Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Both I'd say. Christmas Eve we would always do a Big Family Dinner with one side of the family then come home and watch Christmas Movies & on Christmas Day we'd open some presents & then have a Big Christmas Dinner with the other side of the family & open more present's. Who could say no to either of these days :)

4. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
Depends on how busy we are bust as a kid I remember it being the 1st of December & it was a team effort :)

5. White lights or colored lights?
White. I've never been fond of coloured lights on a green tree. But now that's I'm older I like the idea of the White Tree With 1 colour theme going through it Like this year It's White & Blue :)

6. Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?
Surprise for sure because either way I am happy with what I get I never complain :)

7. Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa's Workshop?
Santa's Workshop (maybe not making toys) I would just play with all the toys & who doesn't want to live in the North  Pole :)

8. Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!
Normally to watch a Christmas related movie or two with the family :)

9. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
JEREMY (Steven R McQueen) from the Vampire Diaries I mean who could say no to this face :)

10. What tops your tree?
Normally a Star of some sort

11. Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?
Nope not even going to try :)

12. Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?
Hahaha with my voice definitely not but when I was young I was in Choir and we would sing for the whole school =S

13. Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days are left?
Not really I'm to busy to countdown but not long to go :)

14. What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?
The usual Christmas dinner nothing to flash & probably tons of chocolate :)

15. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you've grown older?
Working in retail kind of ruin Christmas so the days leading up to Christmas I usually hate but then I quickly get over that when I finally get my days off. But I still enjoy waking up on Christmas day & opening presents and staying in my PJ's all day watching TV & just relaxing until it's time to get together with the Family for Dinner :)

Wednesday: Must Have It

There are so many products that I see & I'm just like I NEED TO HAVE THIS so I thought I would start posting about them that way if you own the items you can tell me if you think they are worth it :) ..

Currently I am addicted to neutral based Eye Shadow Palettes & Kits. I think I some where like 7+ (insane I know) but they are the colours I'm drawn to on a daily basis and I do get great use out of every different palette I own.

This weeks current obsession is None other than Stila's In The Light Palette

The Stila In The Lights Palette consists of 10 Eye Shadows (Bare, Kitten, Bliss, Sunset, Sandstone, Champagne, Gilded Gold, Luster, Night Sky & Ebony) as well as a Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Damsel (Brown)

I just love the way this palette looks and how sleek and convenient it is the have all these shades in one place. I do have many palettes that contain similar colours but I don't think I would have any exact dupes after looking at swatches online. I love the quality of the Stila Eye Shadows and I'm sure this is no exception. To buy or not to buy is the important question.

You can purchase the Stila Palettes and more from their range either at BeautyBay or Mecca Cosmetica.
This palette costs $36.27 from BeautyBay or $62.00 from Mecca Cosmetica

Are you as addicted to Neutral Palettes as I am? Do you own this palette or any of the Stila Palettes? Do you think they are worth it?
Happy Wednesday Everyone

NOTD: Essie Butler Please & Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Not long ago I picked up Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in the style Laced Up from my local Woolworths as they were in a clearance bin for $6. I'd only ever tried these type of Nail Polish Strips once before and I remember liking them just no the pattern I picked up (I think it was the Leopard Print one)
I do love the look of these and they are super easy to apply. They come with 16 Nail Polish Strips, A Cuticle Stick & a Mini File/Buffer as well as instructions on how to use them.

Essie Butler please & Sally Hansen Laced Up

I'm not one to just apply one nail design or colour to all nails I do enjoy mixing it up a little and I love the look of this pattern Mixed with Essie's Butler Please. Butler Please is apart of Essie's Winter 2012 Collection (I purchased mine off Ebay) & it is fast becoming one of my favourite blue nail polishes. It is very similar to Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue though it is slightly darker. I've seen a few review on this polish saying it is a very difficult formula to work with but I found no problems with it. I used 2 coats of Butler Please & 1 coat of Seche Vite Top Coat and this is what I came up with.

Let me know what you think. Have you tried any of the Nail Polish Strips let me know.
& something really exciting, well it is to me =P, I won a Formula 10.0.6 starter kit through twitter thanks to Princeline. This is the first thing I've ever really one & I'm super excited as I love formula 10.0.6 :)

NOTD: Essie Tart Deco & China Glaze I'm Not Lion

Image taken with flash
This is my first ever NOTD post well more like Nail of the Week post as I don't change my nail polish that often. I normally stick to painting my nails one colour or doing a single accent glitter nail but I thought I would branch out a little slightly as I'm experimenting for the holidays :)

It's not very neat but I love the way it turned out in the end. I Used 2 coats of Essie's Tart Deco and then using the China Glaze I'm Not Lion Nail Polish I did a thin line sweeping across the top of my nail. Once this was dry I went over the line with one of my new Dotting Pens (I'll do a post about this soon) I used one of the smaller tools and packed on some more of the I'm Not Lion Glitter (which happens to be one of my favourite glitter polishes ever). I used Seche Vite as my top coat & Viola this is what I ended up with :)

From L to R: China Glaze I'm Not Lion, Essie Tart Deco, Seche Vite

Hope you guys like what I've done here. I'm not very good with this nail art stuff but I have been having a lot of fun experimenting with all my new nail art tools & expect more post's like this to come.

What nail trend have you been Loving/Practicing. Feel Free to link your latest NOTD post so I can check it out.
Happy Sunday

Rose-Hip Vital Rosehip Oil

I've had so many blog posts that I have been meaning to type up but I've been super sick lately with the flu and I just haven't had the energy or motivation but I'm trying :) . So I thought I would begin with a quick post on my Recent Purchase from the Bellabox store. I'm loving the Bellabox store this is only my second purchase from them (click here for my first post). For quite sometime now I have been  looking in to buying a Rosehip Oil and after seeing and reading so many reviews I decided to go with the Rose-Hip Vital version.

I bought a 50ml from the Bellabox website fore $29.95 (you can also buy a 30ml bottle) I also picked up a 10pk or Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes as I wanted to used 100 of my Bella points but to do so the balance had to be minimum $20 so in total I paid like $23 and got free shipping as this was one of the products in the Bellabox this month.

What I really liked about this one is that it's Australian Certified Organic Cold Pressed Oil the box mentions "The oil is extracted from the seeds without using heat, solvents and chemicals" which I think is fantastic I'm really starting to take notice with the types of products I use mainly on my face. I also like that it is 100% Rosehip Oil so it doesn't contain any nasties or anything else so you know exactly what you're putting onto your skin.

The bottle looks amazing. It's a dark brown glass bottle with white and orange writing. Its simple yet elegant & it has a droplet applicator.

It comes out onto the skin with an orange tinge that soaks right into the skin. Rosehip oil is used to help reduce the appearance of stretchmarks and scars, help improve dry & sensitive skin, help maintain the skins natural hydration & softness and also help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I have been using this oil for about a week and so far am loving it. I have oily skin on my face and my legs and arms tend to be more on the dry side so i use a few drops of the oil and rub it onto my arms and legs at night and I add a small drop mixed in with my moisturizer and apply it to my face every night. So far the results have been great my skin feels softer and smoother. I have this weird dry patch on my arm and the oil has really been helping with that. I love this product and will keep using it and hopefully the results will keep on coming :).

So I bought the Rosehip Oil & the Yes To Cucumber Towelettes and as usual with ordering with Bellabox they threw in a handful of samples. I'm really pleased with the ones I got this time. I bought the items in the last week of November they still had the free necklace offer and I'm so glad I got the blue one as that is the one I originally wanted in my first order.

They also threw in a full sized Australia Mascara which I thought was fantastic as I've never used any mascaras from Australis and this was a nice surprise this one retails for $14.95.

For $23 I think this is all great value and I do love the Bellabox Store.
Have you picked up anything from the Bellabox Store or Have you tried any of the Rosehip or other Oils available let me know :)
